It would be helpful, for us non-engineers, to have the load entry further defined and clarified as to what is required for the PLF and the PSF.

What is the reason for this? It is permissible per code to apply overstrength to seismic loads on any structural wood member, including sawn lumber.

How about adding a bounding box to each load on the member. It is difficult to tell by a massive line what is happening to the individual parts.

Why wouldn't we want to know the nail patterns by default?
