If you try to delete a member which is linked to another, an error pops up saying that it cannot be deleted, and to remove the linked load reference. Information identifying which member(s) to which the load is linked would be helpful, rather than having to search for it.
When a load is linked to a member, the information for the linked member is placed in the comments for the load. It will display the member name and which support the load being used is from.
I agree with the commenter, I've spent alot of time searching for which links still exist - it's not always obvious.
For example, if a member is linked to several other members, you don't know what those members are just by looking at the one. You have to click through other members to see where it is linked.
If ForteWEB knows that links still exist then it knows which links those are - it should show them in the warning.
I am aware of this feature, however, if I have many members, and try to delete a member that is linked to another, I have to search for the member(s) to which it is linked. Forte offers a warning stating "Removing a member that contains a linked load reference will result in an invalid load for other members in the job. Please remove any linked load references and try again." Ok, that is great, so where are the linked load references without having to search for them. If for instance if member 1 is linked to member 27, and member 16, it would be nice if the warning included this information. Such as "See members 27 and 16 for linked load references prior to removing this member"
