My suggestion is simply make the support option an infinite length instead of 14" max. so beams can look like: 4' support/ 18' span/ 4' support/ 10' span/ 6' support/ 3' span/ 4' support. (an actual beam I had to calculate). The building code for me requires a continuous beam over garage doors . I just do each support 14" but that does not represent the beam accurately.

Thank you for the idea! We currently only design for short bearings, but we can consider long bearing design in the future.
