On Span and Supports give bullet option of center to center
I often use center to center distance when specifying span lengths. It would be more convenient if I could click on an bullet option at the top rather than have to select "Custom Dimension Locations" and then select center for each span.
I have set my default as center to center. But that only works for the number of spans in the default beam, If I have a single span beam and I a span it doesn't default to center to center. I have to select it individually for each span I add. On the other end If I make my default a 3 or 4 or 5 span beam then when I only have a 1 or a 2 span I have to individually delete the extra spans which is also a little time consuming.
Either way it isn't a huge deal it would just be a little more efficient for me if I had the option of being able to switch from, center to center, out to out or clear span with a click of a button.
Hi! Thank you for the idea. If this is something you use consistently, you can change the supports and Save as Default so that it can be used for all members moving forward. This way, you would just update the Spans as usual, but the supports would already be set to Center.
Understood. I will add this to future considerations- great idea!
