Forte Software Ideas

Design for Steel I-Beams and Flitch Beams

If I could design steel beams in Forte software I would only need one piece of software to do all my design work!

It would be a great Idea to add Flitch beams especially when it comes to existing house renovations,Because its alot easier to install a Flitch beam. Our firm designs TJIS in forte all the time,it would be extremely helpful to have A Flitch beam option at the product selection tab

Steel beam design is available in the current release of ForteWEB. Flitch beams are being considered for a future release.

Agreed on this, good to hear that this is coming soon! Is there any update on whether this is still on track for early this year? I have a build I'm currently designing that is blending steel and Parallam beams.

This project is currently in development and should be released in the 1st quarter of 2021. We are starting with W shapes and will consider Flitch beams after that.

This appears to have been planned since 2018. Is there any update on when this might be available?

Please add the ability for Forte to design steel beams. That way I can accomplish both wood and steel design tasks in the same place.

Yes, please. There's nothing more frustrating than having to switch from one program to another and back again trying to find alternatives between wood and steel. PLEASE.

Just re-create Enercalc and in a few years do the Retain pro!
