When designing a stud in a tall wall, we are limited to inputting loads as either Point (lb) or Point (PLF). I like to do as much loading with Uniform (PSF) as possible. Currently I have to pull out my calculator to manually convert my loads from PSF to PLF just to size a stud. I'm suggesting that you add an option that allows us to enter loads as PSF. It would probably be called "Point (PSF)."
I second this motion. We design bearing walls with the same loading pattern as beams very often need Uniform (kPa) with tributary width, this will indeed save time. Thanks
