At least for now, it seems that you have to save your printed work to a folder, then open that folder so you can load the newly created pdf file, and then send to the printer. Tedious steps. Give us the option to save to pdf then print or just straight through printing.
I 100% agree. Printing to PDF then to printer is a pain. Be great to print directly.
Okay, now I understand better. You have Chrome set to ask where to save the download which is a great way to ensure your files are going to the right location, but it complicates the PDF Report steps. One idea is to use the Adobe Acrobat Reader Chrome Extension that will allow you to automatically open PDF files immediately after download. You will still have to specify the Save As location (unless you turn that off) but it will reduce the number of steps to open the PDF for viewing and printing.
From our end, web applications are limited to what each internet browser provides in order to quickly view/print a report. We will look for ways to simplify these steps as we continue to develop ForteWEB.
When I go to that little circle in the upper left corner for printing, once I click on to it, a file explorer window opens to "save as." Regardless what folder I save it in, I have to open up file explorer, open that file and print from adobe. Most other programs on the internet that have pdf files do open to another window and I can print directly from it. I use Chrome at this time. I saw nothing in the Chrome settings that would lead me to change for Forte.
When you click on Print from the Report tab a PDF of the Member Report is saved to your default location and the internet browser allows you to immediately open that PDF and print it. So I can better understand the request and try to help, can you help me understand a bit more about the request and what internet browser you are using? Thanks!
