Thanks for your idea. We actually do allow different bracing selections for Top Edge and Bottom Edge unless you select Maximum Allowable. When you select something other than Maximum Allowable, we automatically update both Top and Bottom Edge values to match the new selection but you can change either value as desired after that. For the example you mention above, I would set the Top Edge bracing to Custom with 24" intervals and the Bottom Edge bracing to End Supports Only or All Supports to get the desired bracing for member design.
