It would be nice to be able to have composite members. As in, you have 2x6 rafters that won't be adequate with another 2x6 sistered to the side. Instead if we could allow for a composite section modulus and make the second ply a 2x8 we could properly scope the size and ammount of lumber necessary to retrofit a rafter.

Here are some example formulas from a similar tool I use. However, there is no way to input a 2x6 with a 2x8 (for example) into Forte as an option. The clsoest is to make it a 3-ply with the same sized lumber (3 2x6's).
