Every time I submit calculations for permit I have to add a note that the loads to supports shown on the Report are not to be used because they are not the values from load combinations, and to look in the Full Detail report for factored loads to supports. Nothing is ever designed with the value under "total" of loads to supports and it is misleading.
It would be nice to see the max and min loads to supports from factored load combos summarized like the max and min moments are summarized in the Report, with a note saying what combo produces that max/min value at the support.
This is especially helpful for the design process when I have to put that loads onto a a transfer beam or size a support or hanger. Even a summary of the max/min reactions for each LDF would be great.
The reasoning is that you only need this program when there is a complex beam for analysis in the first place. Think multiple spans, skip loading, and seismic forces applied, and lots of load combos. looking thru the Full Detail there are so many combinations to comb thru it is too time consuming to find the information you want.
