I just analyzed an 11-7/8" TJI 560 purlin in a building roof. The system specifies deflection criteria of L/240 for transient loads and L/180 for total load. I tried to customize these and the software says that limits must meet code minimums of L/240 and L/180 respectively. This is not an across the board minimum by code though. The IBC allows L/180 for transient and L/120 for total load for roofs that do not support a ceiling, which is very common in warehouse spaces. Can you fix this mistake?
We will consider allowing this in a future release.
