Commerical Live Loads (a.k.a. Safe Loads) can be applied to members today that are included under a Commercial Level within a job. Floor Joists and Floor Flush Beams will include a Concentrated Live Load grid below the Loads grid on the Loads tab.
Okay. This is available today using Commercial Levels in ForteWEB.
This is from the IBC:
1607.4 Concentrated live loads. Floors and other similar surfaces shall be designed to support the uniformly distributed live loads prescribed in Section 1607.3 or the concen trated live loads, given in Table 1607.1, whichever produces the greater load effects. Unless otherwise specified, the indicated concentration shall be assumed to be uniformly distributed over an area of 2 1/2 feet by 2 1/2 feet (762 mm by 762 mm) and shall be located so as to produce the maximum load effects in the structural members.
Thanks for your idea. Are you referring to being able to save point loads as Quick Loads that would be applied to a member?
