Create and keep updated/sync’d an Excel .XLS that would have the summary of the components that I have designed. Ideally on my computer, but a downloadable file could be made to work. AutoCAD (and I presume others) can link and paste dynamic a spreadsheet in the drawing. This would be a huge saver of time, monotony and typo errors.
Printing to an ASCII file (.CSV) would be my next choice.
