Shortcut for midspan of a beam

I often use the "r" shortcut for making a load go from the beginning (0) to the end of the member but it would be useful to have an "m" command that will place a load at midspan. i.e. I have a ridge beam coming down on a beam and the beam is 13' 8 5/8" span. I just eyeballed midspan rather than calculating what the actual midspan is (13'8 5/8" / 2)

Yes! The current release of ForteWEB allows you to do just that. In addition to using “R” to reference the right end of the member, you can now use “M” or “C” to reference the center of the member. You can now also use “|” (a.k.a “Pipe” symbol) to reference the center of a support. To do this, enter the support number then “|” so entering “2|” would reference the center of support 2. You can offset a distance from these locations by adding +/- and the distance depending on the direction.
