Create a triangular truss of LVL.PSL, GLULAM eng wood to support a roof [ridge beam].

I find that I often have floor plans that do not provide reasonable support points for a ridge beam. I would often like to use triangular trusses to transfer the load to the sidewalls. Timberframe does this regularly with ornate wood. I want simple triangles, with an adjustable bottom chord height. Many times I would want the side beams to be the same depth as my rafters for a smooth continuous sloped ceiling. These triangles would be 6' to 15' on center, sometimes forming the sides to dormer. I suppose supporting the rafters on the triangle or on the ridge beam would be an option.

Thank you for this request! I am about to add a very similar one: the option to calculate a timber truss - a triangle or a scissors truss with top and bottom cord and webbing. Ideally with eng material AND dimensional lumber such as DF.
