Being able to set the program defaults would make designing much quicker. Such as setting the bearing length or type and having loads already preset to regularly used settings such as top loaded and PLF etc. That way when you start a new job all you have to do is add your span and loads and be on your way if you do the same type of beams consistently like we do.
This can be done today using the "Save as Default" button at the top-right corner of the tab view. Once you have entered commonly used span and bearing conditions click the Save as Default button and each time you add a new member that saved condition will be created. You will need to save a default condition for each member type (i.e. Floor Joist, Floor Flush Beam, etc.) that you want to change.
These same steps work for Loads, Product Selection and other tabs too. Look for the "Save as Default" button on each tab to update your defaults.
