Currently, if a member which is linked to another member is renamed, the comments do not automatically update with the new linked member's name. For example, say a floor joist named "FJ-01" is used as a linked load on a beam. The comments on the load will say "Linked from: FJ-01." But if that joist is renamed, say "FJ-02," the comments on the linked load will still say "Linked from: FJ-01." This can be updated by editing the linked load and re-Transfering to the Vertical Loads Grid. But this is a hassle and opens up a lot of room for an error from a missed update. It will still calculate everything correctly, but it will be incorrectly identified for the plan reviewers.

I understand your concern and the pain this creates. When we looked into this request in the past we realized that we don't want to modify user comments, which is how the initial linked member note is created. We can investigate to see if there are other opportunities besides the comment for the load to display the linked load information.
