Most of my header designs are for double span headers (ie. (1 or 2) 2x8 that span over two adjacent windows/doors with a mid span post). We generally design them as two spans for gravity loading ((3) supports) and as one long span for out of plane wind loads (oop supports at the king studs). Having this option built in for headers would simplify my workflow as I wouldn't need to use a separate spreadsheet or calc when the rest of my calcs are in forte.
