Add a New Member Starts with Edit Name

When a member is created it should automatically prompt to edit the name. Currently you have to click to add the member, select the type, highlight to edit the name then click to except the name (way to many clicks), nice graphics but to many clicks.

My idea click add member, select member type and name it at member selection type (2 clicks v 4 click) .

Agree with the user being able to uniquely name members: Beam-1, beam-2, Column-A5 etc.     However, on 6-6-19, I couldn't even figure out  how to do the above click/highlight sequence to rename the member.

Suggestion: On the "member info" page, at the "member type" box,  below it, add a new "member name" box. If the user enters a name, then show the name in the directory side-bar.

That's one click to create the "member type" page, and one data-entry field after page is created.  This makes user naming obvious, there in plain sight, no hidden click sequences or strange icons to guess at.
