Adding an option where the user could toggle whether or not the beam was continuous across a column or not would be very handy. With long spans I don't know what column the contractor is going to splice the beam over. analyzing a continuous beam for various spans is very time consuming. Additionally, some time you want to force as much load to or away from a certain location in the building. Many times I do this by specifying where the contractor needs to splice the beam.
