This would be useful if you are sizing but don't know your # of jack studs. As it currently is, if you increase your bearing support it shifts your point loads accordingly, but in most cases the load does not change relative to the rough opening, so you have to go back and update all of your point loads for their exact postion with respect to the rough opening.
