Currently in the software, if you choose Save as Default it will remember your support preferences exactly as input, but if you add a span, the new support will not match the defaults saved when there were fewer spans. So in my example (images attached), the defaults I have were modified to Douglas Fir-Larch for Supports 1 and 2. When I changed spans the new Span 2 has a different material. If I change support material and save again, I'm now saving a 2 span joist as my default. So I'd like to see the ability to set the defaults for theoretical additional spans to allow this without saving the presence of the other spans.
