Allow for load linking of "Non-Members" or failing members

For cases where the main floor member is not a product ForteWEB sizes for, in many cases open web wood joists, it would be nice to able to model a "non-physical member" just to be able to use the load transfer to the carrying member. I'm a huge fan of linking members because if you do it right you really only need to change an area load input at the top of your load tree for a change to be made for the entire assembly. Having to re-calculate some vaguely specified point load a few months after stamping drawings due to some site change or design change just bogs down the workflow.

We usually include dead load of joist in our assembly, so the "non-physical member" wouldn't need to analyize anything, just calculate reactions for the purpose of transfering.

I create members that are "simulated" members for say existing members that I do not exactly know something about them or for premanufactured trusses I create a joist to get the loads for linking to other members all the time and most of the members for my simulated trusses fail miserably but they still link to other members just fine and transfer the loads just like they were not in error. The only thing you need to do is to assign an actual member to them for them to be linkable. So to me i am not sure what you are asking for in this item of request.
