When Designing a multispan beam, sometimes the negative moment governs the entire design, but as we all know, sometimes that can be mitigated by cutting the beam in two over that support can solve the issue. Rather than having to create another entire design to check this option out, if I know what the positive moment was I could make a call as to whether it was even worth looking into the design of the two members. For instance if the positive moment is also bad then no need to evaluate, whereas if the positive moment is small then look at the appropriate spans for deflection an save a bunch of time.
I would like to see two seperate lines, one showing the positive and one showing the negative moment for all multi span and cantilever beams. And possibly even single spans with uplift forces.
