I did a search and I found no other comment about metric, so I expect demand is not so strong. However, it would still be helpful for lengths and loads.
If you go into ForteWEB Settings (click on the person icon in the upper right hand corner, then Settings), there is an option to switch to Metric under the General tab (Displayed Units of Measure)
