Engineered lumber (LVL etc) and store lumber are limited in length, but structures can be much longer. Forte can span multiple supports with one beam, so beams are calculated for the longest single member (which may be multiple plies) and used repetitively. Common construction practice is to stagger the multiple ply beams so that no support point has the ends/beginning of the beam. For example, 2 ply 24' LVLs staggered on 12' supports, or 2 ply 2x10-16' on 8' supports is quite common, but the FORTE calc is not there for a 108' building.
