Like the picture on page 5 of the Canadian Wall Guide (TJ-9503), there are many situations where the top chords are sloped (ex : gable end wall). There is no where in ForteWeb to identify the top plates as being sloped so that the correct connectors get specified. A typical result is an A34 connector from SST, but you are not suppose to field bend an A34, therefore perhaps an LS type connector would be more appropriate in those situations. Would need to the software to have sloping top plate analysis to specify the proper connectors. I believe the old Wall Calculator software had that functionality.
