The majority of engineering jobs use multiple file types. Forte, Enercalc, Strucalc, Bluebeam, Risa, Simpson, etc. All of these files are organized in Windows explorer or similar file management systems. Moving Forte to the web removes the file from the job folder. It essentially hides the calculations. If each job had a unique web address, we could copy a link into the job folder. As is, a link just takes you to the most recent job the user worked on. This is the least you could do. Better yet, just bring back the desktop version.
I like this idea because I have already forgot to download the most current calc's to a job specific folder with a link it will automatically update the file no chance of working with old calc's is the most important thing.
Or, when I double-click on the member in the directory box, creating a PDF on the web, give a SAVE option to my computer of that report, in addition to the PDF on the web.
