Forte is a great software. It would be of great benefit if you could allow for the lateral wind applicati on multiple-ply members. I understand that there is a question of load transfer. Perhaps you could leave it up to the engineer with a disclaimer that an engineer is responsible that a load transfer is achieved between plys. Thank you!

We need this option. Availability and cost of solid cross section material can sometimes be a problem. Allowing us to size multi-ply headers with lateral loading would increase our ability to better serve our customers.
This feature would be very helpful. Shear flow calculation for lateral load would be pretty easy to incorporate by my perspective. If you didn't, the O.P. suggestion that leaving it to the end user to verify composite action (lateral) - would work fine as well.
